Remaking Health Care in America

Based on a study of 11 health care systems and their response to managed care and cost containment pressures, this provocative book challenged the nation to create a supportive environment for the evolution of our health care system. Written by the country's foremost authority on health services management and a team of experts, Remaking Health Care in America promoted an integrated approach to health care — one that focuses on alliances, linkages and partnerships with public health and community/social service agencies. The first edition, subtitled Building Organized Delivery Systems, focused on the impact of vision, culture, strategy and leadership on three aspects of integration, including functional, physician and clinical. The second edition, subtitled The Evolution of Organized Delivery Systems, reexamined the promise and difficulty in creating integrated delivery systems and made practical recommendations for continuing to improve the effectiveness of systems across the country.

In addition, our Consultants are noted speakers for health care industry groups. Many have held formal faculty positions and conducted several guest lecture series at the University of St. Thomas, the University of Minnesota and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
